Aleido will support the decommissioning of Ringhals nuclear power plant
NEWS |
Some years back Vattenfall made the decision to close down two of the four reactors at Ringhals. The decommisioning project is now starting up and Aleido gained the trust to secure that all documentation and data are handled according to industry standards and regulations.
Ringhals is a nuclear power plant located on the west coast of Sweden. The plant generates a significant portion of Sweden's electricity. Over the years Ringhals has undergone upgrades and safety improvements in which Aleido has been supporting by ensuring that the internal documentation and data is accurate, timely and accessible to the right people when needed.
Decommissioning is a complex, multi-phase project and Vattenfall expect the decommissioning program to run over the next ten years. Information management is crucial during the decommissioning of a nuclear power plant due to the complex, high-risk, and long-term nature of the process.

Aleido will support Ringhals with process development as well as project support within document management which involves planning, coordinating, and tracking progress across various stages, including decontamination, dismantling, waste management, and site restoration.
The decommissioning process also requires multiple licenses and permits, each with its own set of documentation and compliance obligations. Effective information management ensures that all legal requirements are met, and that the nuclear power plant adheres to local, national, and international regulations.
