Meet our Country Manager in India: Aruna Panangipally is a pioneer of technical communication in India, with nearly 30 years of experience helping organisations explain complex technology with clarity and purpose.
Trained as an electronics engineer, she discovered early on that her real strength lays in translating technical complexity into usable knowledge.
In the mid-1990s, as India’s software industry was taking shape, Aruna co-authored a widely acclaimed series of books on PowerBuilder.
The success of these books marked the beginning of her journey in technical communication, at a time when the profession itself was still emerging in India.
As demand for high-quality documentation grew, Aruna co-founded one of India’s earliest technical writing companies, which later evolved into ibruk Consulting and today’s Aleido India. Under her leadership, the team has delivered documentation and knowledge solutions across software, telecom, finance, AI-based medical diagnostics, manufacturing, warehousing, and public-sector training, working with companies across the globe and building strong international collaborations.
Aruna has also helped shape the technical writing profession in India. She was a founding member of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) India chapter in 1999 and continues to advise the community as the field evolves toward structured, tool-driven, and AI-supported content. Aruna was awarded 2025 a Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to the technical communication industry in India.
A hallmark of her work is a long-term engagement with Reuters (later Thomson Reuters), where her team documented a complex global trading platform over eight years, demonstrating deep domain understanding, close collaboration, and consistent quality in highly regulated environments.
Today, Aruna focuses on building strong teams, scalable systems, and effective cross-cultural collaboration. By combining human expertise with AI-enabled workflows, she helps Aleido India deliver clear, reliable, and customer-focused content, bridging technology, industries, and global ways of working.
