International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) – Performance Management Training Programme for Supervisors

A self paced e-learning solution to provide a foundation of knowledge in Performance Management for supervisors.

Look and feel

THE TRAINING NEED

It is important to IFAD as an organisation that supervisors have a strong grasp of performance management (PN) best practices and can apply them in their role.

IFAD has introduced several enhancements to its PM policies, process, and system. The revised PM focuses on three main pillars:

  • Enhancing IFAD’s overall performance by better aligning individual work goals to organisational goals and priorities.
  • Functioning as an integral part of the integrated talent management (ITM) framework in which high performance is recognised and rewarded.
  • Managing underperformance more effectively by providing robust support to managers and training/coaching to staff.

Specific requirements of the e-learning included:

  • An online pre-assessment.
  • A 60-minute e-learning course that focuses on three main pillars within performance management at IFAD.

OUR BESPOKE LEARNING SOLUTION

Working collaboratively with one of IFAD’s Subject Matter Experts and their existing content, Aleido provided a highly interactive, modern, and engaging bespoke e-learning course.

The e-learning is split into three modules with a bookmark function for the best user experience in self-paced learning. The modules feature bespoke graphics, dramatised video and interactive screens to make the learning interesting and easy to navigate.

The course contains frequent interactive elements that are designed to bring content to life and maintain learner engagement throughout. Short scenario examples were also designed to encourage learners to reflect on their own best practice in performance management.

A post-training assessment comprising ten multiple choice questions with an 80% pass rate completes the course to assess the learner’s comprehension of the e-learning. A certificate of completion is available via IFAD’s learning management system.
