Boosting product knowledge in fast-growing company group
As sister companies AmpSociety and ChargeNode scale up their operations and expand into international markets, the car charging group had to tackle some challenges before they got out of hand: Make sure that sales personnel, retailers, and installation technicians have the necessary knowledge to effectively sell, install, and maintain the products. Aleido has supported the companies with both product information and sales material to succeed.
Upskilling the organisation on product knowledge
AmpSociety and ChargeNode are two young sister companies specialising respectively in hardware and software for electric vehicle charging. They are growing fast and becoming a global actor. With new markets come diverse technical requirements and customer expectations, so the entire network needs to have a deep understanding of both the product and its integration into various charging infrastructures.
Starting in 2023, Aleido has produced product information and sales material to upskill the product knowledge, setting up AmpSociety and ChargeNode for a smoother scaling process so they can strengthen their market position and build long-term customer trust.

Product information for installers
Give installers comprehensive product information to ensure seamless setup and maintenance, preventing potential issues that could impact customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
Sales material
Make sure all sales representatives have thorough product knowledge to communicate the full value and unique features of the companies’ solutions in order to not miss any sales opportunities.

Manuals
The company group previously had their installation manuals in five powerpoint documents. The content was quite unstructured as instructions were mixed with information and it wasn’t clear what should be done when.
Aleido has replaced the five documents with one, more comprehensive installation manual. It is topic-based and in XML so the content is not tied to any specific layout. This gives the companies the possibility to present the installation information in other formats and platforms going forward, such as in an app or online portal. Any information that needs to be updated only needs to be changed once, even if it appears in multiple places.
As the photos in the powerpoint manuals could be quite unclear, we have replaced them with CAD-based illustrations.
Aleido has also developed a complete, new installation guide for a charging system.
We’re moving fast and need to stay flexible to adapt to each market. Now our product information can keep up with the rest of the company.

sALES POCKET GUIDE
The Sales pocket guide is a commercial guide designed for curious prospects as well as the sister companies’ sales personnel. The guide focuses on unique selling points and make it easy to understand the product and the configuration of the system.
Product sheets
The product sheets are visually appealing onepagers, harmonising with the other deliverables and the companies’ branding. The product sheets clealy state specifications of the products, such as measurements, materials, components and warrantiy times.
Charging calculator
The charging calculator guides customers in what charging capacity they will need for their charging system. Aleido has improved the user experience with more visual elements.
Keeping up speed
The project has engaged colleagues across four departments at Aleido and is a great example of team work, both within Aleido and between the two companies and Aleido. Any late additions or alterations have been possible to incorporate in the deliveries thanks to frequent meetings and a transparent dialogue on where we have been in the process, ticking off completed tasks and raising potential issues. AmpSociety and ChargeNode have more plans for the future, and we look forward to continue our work together.
