Safer working environment with learning journey
A leading automotive company wanted to increase safety within the organisation. With an accessible yet comprehensive training package, Aleido has driven change and commitment to a safer working environment.
ENVISIONING a stronger safety culture
A leader in the automotive industry was looking for new ways to increase safety throughout the organisation. Focus would be on giving managers and safety representatives in production and workshops the courage to act in case of risks in the work environment, while giving them a deeper understanding of safety issues. The work would also be in line with the Swedish Work Environment Authority's vision: ‘Everyone wants and can create a good work environment’. To succeed, safety communication also needed to be simplified and more accessible. This made Aleido the perfect partner for the job.

You communicate and grasp what we want to achieve, and you drive the project forward in a way that makes it easy to collaborate. It's a real pleasure to work with you!

LoCAL TRAINING GOES DIGITAL
One challenge was that training was conducted locally at each workplace, which created problems of varying quality between production sites. In addition, trainings depended on a small number of specialists in the different subject areas, who as a result had difficulty keeping up with their daily work. To address these challenges, a change was needed. It was time to move from local training to digital and accessible training.
ASSIGNMENT OBJECTIVES
- Staff should understand their health and safety responsibilities
- Identify and prevent relevant risks
- Consistent quality of trainings across all sites
- Relieve security specialists and take less time from their daily work
Learning journey deliverING results
Together, we developed eleven courses as a learning journey towards sustainable change. Through scenario-based learning adapted to the target audience's work environment, Aleido created an engaging and relevant learning experience. Graphics and videos helped to reinforce knowledge transfer in areas such as ergonomics, protective equipment, risk assessment, lifting devices and machine safety.
So far, there has been around 1500 digital training sessions at the customer, executed both individually and in groups, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Employees feel more confident, empowered and engaged after taking the training, and the courses are flexible and more accessible than before.
The customer has managed to incorporate the training as a new routine during production stops. This has made it easier for professionals who normally find it difficult to leave their day-to-day work to undergo training.
The image below shows an example from the training in ergonomics where participants can learn from instructional videos.
The real-life ergonomist in the videos has also been turned into an illustrated character in the training where he educates the employees in various operations linked to ergonomics.

A successful partnership
The co-operation with the customer has been crucial to the success of the project. Here are some success factors:
- A clear time plan
Consensus from the start led to efficient work. - Responsiveness
The customer appreciated that we put their ideas into practice and proactively proposed new solutions.
- Efficient processes
Regular short status meetings and clear time plans minimised misunderstandings and delays. - A successful way of working
A success factor was the mix of digital and physical meetings with frequent check-ins, reviews and approval of deliverables in close co-operation with the customer's project team
From vision to results
The organisation has managed to incorporate training as a new routine during production stops. This has made it easier for professionals who normally find it difficult to leave their day-to-day work to undetgo training.
From my point of view, one thing that stands out is the smooth co-operation we have had with them. Then we also got a really good training package that we will be using a lot going forward.
