Bridging worlds through words

After returning home from a scholarship in Poland, Alexandra stumbled upon a job ad that asked for strong English skills, a flair for writing, and a dose of creativity. Although she had never worked as a writer before, she saw English as a bridge between people and decided to give it a shot. Today, she’s a Technical Writer at Aleido, turning complex engineering concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation.

Adopting different perspectives

The engineers I work alongside know every detail of how a product works. I know how to explain it. We meet in the middle – aligning our expertise to create content that works for the end user. To do this effectively, I have to adopt multiple perspectives: that of the engineer, the customer, and the user.

As Technical Writers, we’re the bridge between technical innovation and user experience. It’s our job to anticipate the questions users might have and ensure the documentation answers them clearly. Whether it's text, illustration, or even video, I ask myself: What will help the users most? How will they interact with the content?

With the rise of AI, content consumption habits are changing rapidly. People are absorbing more information, faster, and in new formats. That means we also need to revise and rethink how we structure and present our documentation to keep up with changing needs.

We are literally writing the future

One of the most fascinating aspects of my job is that we document things that won’t reach the market for another five to ten years. We work from early product concepts and follow them through design, testing, and refinement – long before they become part of everyday life.

In many ways, we're writing about what currently only exists in someone’s mind. That’s a powerful thought: what I write now helps shape how others will understand the products of tomorrow.

Laying the puzzle together

Something that I really appreciate about Aleido is the diversity of backgrounds among us. We have psychologists, economists, environmentalists, English teachers – people from all walks of life. And that diversity helps us see problems from different angles.

It may sound like a cliché, but it’s true: by combining our thoughts and perspectives, we get closer to seeing the full picture. In the end, you and I can both be right.

By combining our thoughts and perspectives, we get closer to seeing the full picture.

Truly caring about each other

One of the things I value most is the respect we show each other as individuals. My project work is mostly with colleagues from other parts of the world and we make an effort to include personal moments in our calls, because in a remote setup, it’s important to get to know the human being on the other side of the screen. That mindset creates a culture where people can do their best work – and sustain it over time.
